When the skiing is over, we provide the perfect end to your day with an excellent meal and a glass or two in front of a roaring log fire.
At Cairngorm Mountain, the newly opened Funicular Railway takes you to the top of the slopes in a few minutes, while there is plenty of uplift in both Coire Cas and Coire na Ciste and runs to suit all grades. Cairngorm Mountain now offers the skier both the best of skiing and the pleasures of apres ski and retail therapy at the top of the mountain with the new Ptarmigan restaurant and visitor centre.
		Aonach Mor is 40 minutes drive away if you wish to venture slightly further afield,. Here the unique Nevis Range gondola takes you up to the nursery area and the Snowgoose Restaurant at the foot of the main skiing area, with a range of intermediate runs and harder challenges further up the mountain. Here, also, you will find the start of the highest ski run in Scotland - starting from 4,000ft, and views from the summit plateau across to Ben Nevis which will take your breath away.
If required, we can arrange equipment hire, lift passes and instruction for you, to save you waiting in lengthy queues and to maximise your time on the slopes. The hotel has a good equipment store for all your ski gear, a heated drying room (in case the weather is not quite perfect) and a speedy laundry service. We also provide packed lunches. If you want a break away from the slopes, the area has a wealth of things to do and see and Alvey house is the perfect base. We offer good discounts for groups of eight or more and special off-season prices.
